Post touch screen interaction

It’s inevitable that touch screens will eventually become outdated by new technologies. Recently things have been moving towards motion tracking technologies that can capture gestures and so on without the need for the user to be touching a mouse or screen. This makes sense if you think about, its cutting out the ‘middle man’, making interaction more fluid and natural. This is going t be without its problems, but for now its nice to marvel and the possibilities – something this video does fairly well. Its made by PrimeSense, the makers of the Microsoft Kinect motion capture sensors. The video showcases Capri, their next generation of 3D sensors, which they claim will bring precise, fast motion tracking to everything—from laptops and TVs to elevators, robots and appliances everywhere. We live in exciting times!
